Ashley Lashley Foundation to Endorse Aspiring Young Artists at Special Caricom Day Ceremony

The foundation continues its mission to foster youth development and promote positive change through music.

Bridgetown, BARBADOS, June 2023 - The Ashley Lashley Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing young talent and supporting youth development worldwide, is set to host an endorsement ceremony for several promising young artists from Barbados. The event will take place on July 4th, 2023, from 9.30 AM to 11 AM at the Shirley Chisholm Primary School. The Foundation has identified the students of the Lester Vaughan School Band who recently showcased their musical talents at the launch ceremony of the Barbados Youth Climate Action Summit.
Their performance struck a chord with the foundation's mission to use art as a catalyst for positive change. Two other promising talents, Jazarie Belgrave, a young aspiring artist from the Shirley Chisholm Primary School, and Trozary Payne, a budding DJ from St. Martins Mangrove Primary School, will also be endorsed during this ceremony. Both have shown remarkable dedication and commitment to their crafts at such young ages. Jazarie Belgrave, aged 10, has already made his mark in the music scene, having secured third place in the Vauxhall Soca Rising Stars competition for two consecutive years and a finalist at Junior Monarch. On the other hand, Trozary Payne-Daniel, known as DJ Zary, aged 11, has impressed audiences with his performances on one of Barbados' biggest radio stations, Hits 106.7 FM, DJ Zary has delighted many crowds performing at popuplar events and venues.

In addition to the endorsement ceremony, the event will celebrate CARICOM Day, with students encouraged to wear or bring something culturally related to school. The foundation believes that this cultural celebration will further inspire the young artists and foster a sense of pride and connection to their roots.
